Always be conscious because a battery contains sulphuric acid
The sulfuric acid contained in a battery may cause many burns. In a case of contact, wash it immediately. Please seek medical advice if you feel any kind of sensation after coming in contact with the battery.
No smoking near a battery
Smoking is strictly prohibited near a battery because gases produced can be dangerous.
Make sure to dressed up in protective clothing
It will be best if you put on plastic, face shield, gloves and other protective material at the time of working near a forklift battery. Make sure to arrange a first-aid box in case of any emergency.
Not forget to keep away the metal objects
The metal objects near the forklift battery will result in bad experience because these objects can conduct electricity. It is suggested to use only insulated tools when working on a battery.
Clean and neutralize battery repeatedly
Keep the top of the battery clean and dry when using the approved product. If you are not able to clean it regularly it will show all the dust particles at the top.
Try to limit your battery’s discharge to 80%
To maximize the life of a forklift battery, charge it in a clean and well-ventilated place. One more thing to be remembered is to limit the discharge to 80% of battery’s rated capacity.
No need to add acid or solutions to a battery
Only add water to batteries. For highest water interval, alter cell filler to maximum viable height. Normally water a battery is at gassing.
Check properly all vent caps are tight and in right place
Make sure to check all the vent caps are clean and placed properly. After adding water to it, always check all the caps are safely closed.
